Autumn pig farm infectious diseases high incidence, prevention and control of three major swine infectious diseases!

Classical swine fever, erysipelas and swine lung disease are collectively referred to as the three major infectious diseases of pigs. In China, the total mortality of infected pigs accounts for about 80% of the total feeding amount, and the mortality rate of pigs in areas with good control is also 5%. Therefore, we should improve the level of pig disease prevention and control. If we can reduce the total mortality rate of pigs by one percentage point every year, it is equivalent to increasing the number of pigs sold by 5 million. What a huge fortune!

According to the relevant data, in the cause of death of pigs, more than 80% of the deaths were caused by diseases, while in all the diseases of pigs, infectious diseases accounted for 70% - 80%, of which classical swine fever, erysipelas and swine lung disease accounted for 70% of the total swine infectious diseases. Therefore, in the prevention and control of pig diseases, the prevention and control of these three diseases become the most important.

As the attenuated vaccine of classical swine fever developed in China is one of the world's advanced vaccines, the efficacy of the vaccine produced by domestic designated pharmaceutical factories is quite reliable. These three diseases can be effectively controlled in areas where scientific immunization procedures are followed and scientific vaccination density is maintained. However, the grassroots veterinary epidemic prevention team in some areas is not stable, and the epidemic prevention density of pigs can not be guaranteed. In some areas, the immunization program can not keep up with the changes in the situation of pig raising, and the disease still occurs after vaccination; in some areas, atypical swine fever occurs; and in some areas, the long-term use of the dual vaccine has led to the occurrence of porcine pulmonary disease, causing undue losses to the local pig industry.

Prevention and control stage of piglet disease

The mortality of piglets from one week to two weeks after birth accounted for 65% of the whole piglet stage, and the mortality rate of piglet stage accounted for 70% of the whole life mortality rate of piglets. It can be seen that the feeding management and disease prevention and control of piglets are important.

1. The disease is related to feeding management. Improper cold prevention and warm keeping of newborn piglets can easily lead to cold, diarrhea and even death of piglets; failure to timely supplement calcium and dilute hydrochloric acid can lead to anemia and indigestion of piglets.

2. Red dysentery, yellow dysentery, white dysentery, paratyphoid fever and edema disease of piglets mostly occur at this stage, and the causes of these diseases are as follows:

The titer of maternal antibody was low or there was no maternal antibody;

The health status of sows was poor;

The sanitary condition of pig house is poor;

The piglets were not vaccinated according to the immunization program of epidemic diseases or did not carry out relevant drug prevention.

The growth rate of weaned pigs is an important index to measure the growth rate of weaned pigs. In the piglet stage, once the piglets get sick, even if they are cured after treatment, the growth of the fattening stage will still be greatly affected, and some of them will become stiff pigs.

Prevention and control of epidemic diseases should be prioritized

1. The prevention of epidemic diseases should be in order. For example, piglet colibacillosis, classical swine fever, swine erysipelas, swine lung disease, piglet paratyphoid, Streptococcosis, asthma and other infectious diseases, at present, most of them have vaccines, so they should be vaccinated according to their own immunization procedures to avoid cross stress time of vaccination.

2. The treatment of the disease should be prioritized. When infectious diseases and common diseases occur at the same time, infectious diseases should be the most serious; when two kinds of infectious diseases occur at the same time, the severe infectious diseases and zoonoses should be the most serious; when some secondary infections occur, differential diagnosis should be made.
